Music For Autism

Whatever Your Needs, We Are Here For You.

Our music for autism classes run very similar to our private lessons. They are conducted with the individual in mind and tailored to meet students specific needs in both music and communication.

The biggest difference with our music for autism classes is that you will be placed with a teacher who also understands and values specific practices to support students on the spectrum and with other special needs.

Classes focus on learning a primary instrument while also exploring general foundational music skills. Teachers will customise lessons to include a mixture of concepts found in all of our curriculums choosing the activities and learning concepts that best support our students.

Being able to provide lessons in an inclusive environment for everyone is a very important value here at the academy. We welcome student who fall anywhere on the spectrum and with any other special need.

Additionally we have found that music lessons can particularly benefit students on the spectrum int he following ways:

  • Can provide therapeutic benefit to any individual.

  • Music stimulates brain activity and can be calming.

  • Assist in the development of Communication.

  • Attention to person.

  • Attention to task.

  • Social connection.

  • Confidence and possible music talent.
